Millstone Man Fled To Florida After Fatally Striking, Dragging Teen With Vehicle: Prosecutor
A 23-year-old Millstone Township man has been extradited back to Monmouth County from Florida after he hit a teen with his vehicle last month and fled the scene, authorities said. On Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 4:02 p.m., the Neptune Township and Asbury Park police departments responded to Stratford Avenue between Fisher and Myrtle Avenue and found Kyzair Robinson, a 19-year-old Asbury Park resident lying in the roadway with severe injuries, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said. One person is dead and another is hospitalized after a fire tore through a home in Monmouth County on Saturday morning, March 15, authorities said. Police responded to 25 Dakarla Dr. in Middletown, at approximately 6:48 a.m. after receiving reports of a structure fire, according to Middletown Township Police Deputy Chief Paul Bailey. A New Jersey Department of Corrections lieutenant in charge of managing state ammunition stockpiles was charged with stealing and selling taxpayer-funded ammo for personal profit, authorities said. Two men were arrested and charged after a 35-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Long Branch on Friday, March 7, authorities said. At 11:33 p.m., Long Branch police responded to a stabbing on the 200 block of Broadway and found Eren Kurkcu with multiple stab wounds, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said.
