The two young brown pelicans currently are safely tucked in at the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Center in Hampton Bays, but both are a little worse for the wear after getting too cold when they were hanging out in Montauk near the fishing docks. Rooney, 30, was driving a 2019 Chevy Silverado southbound on Flamingo Avenue when she hit, John James Usma-Quintero, 28, of Montauk, who was also traveling southbound. Montauk Man Accused Of Growing Marijuana Plants On His Property A 56-year-old Montauk man was nabbed by East Hampton Police for allegedly growing marijuana on his property. Joseph Noll was arrested on Sunday, Sept. 8, after police found marijuana growing on his property on Fleming Road without destroying the plants, East Hampton Police said. When police visited the home they found two potted plants on the north side of his home. He was charged with unlawfully growing cannabis and released on an appearance ticket.
