Man Found Hiding In Woods After Crash In Western Mass, Police Say
The Massachusetts State Police air wing helped locate a man who ran from a motor vehicle crash into a heavily wooded area. The incident took place in Berkshire County shortly after 5 p.m., Friday, April 8 in Clarksburg. Following the crash of a pickup truck, troopers responded to East Road to search for the driver who fled into the woods after being involved in a crash with another vehicle, said the Massachusetts State Police. Maryland Driver Who Denied Treatment At Crash Scene Dies Next Day: Police
A 44-year-old Maryland driver who refused medical treatment after a motor vehicle crash was later found unresponsive and died the next day, authorities said. Edwin Portillo was involved in the crash at the intersection of Watkins Mill Road and Crested Iris Drive in Gaithersburg on Jan. 8 around 2 p.m., Montgomery County police said. Police are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a Long Island overnight. It happened around 12:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 17 in Lake Grove. A 45-year-old Deer Park man was driving a 2007 Honda Accord westbound on Nesconset Highway when he lost control of the vehicle at Moriches Road, Suffolk County Police said. A 38-year-old man from the Jersey Shore has pleaded guilty in connection to a stabbing death, authorities said. A mopedist died in a crash involving a truck on Friday afternoon, according to a county coroner's release. Brad Striebig, 68, of the 2700 block of Crestview Drive in York Township, died at WellSpan Hospital York at 1:59 p.m., according to a release by the York County coroner’s office.
