41-Year-Old Killed After Crashing Into Telephone Pole In Norwalk A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash after striking a telephone pole in Fairfield County. The 41-year-old died around 8:20 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 4 in Norwalk after his motorcycle drove off the roadway and struck the pole in the area of 238 West Cedar St. According to Lt. Tomasz Podgorski of the Norwalk Police, following the crash, the victim, Jared Taylor, a resident of Norwalk, was transported to Norwalk Hospital where he died from his injuries. The Hopatcong man was heading west when he struck the back of a Honda SUV on his Harley Davidson near milepost 50.2 in Fairfield, around 9:55 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, New Jersey State Police Detective I Jeffrey Lebron said. The motorcycle overturned, throwing the driver from the bike. He was taken to an area hospital.  No other injuries were reported. Motorcyclist Killed In Wreck During Chester County Police Chase: Troopers A motorcycle rider crashed and succumbed to his injuries while fleeing state police near Downingtown on Friday, Oct. 27, according to authorities.  Police were chasing the motorcyclist east on US Route 30 through East Caln Township just before the wreck around 1:40 a.m., troopers said.  The motorcyclist exited the highway "at a high rate of speed" onto Route 113, but lost control and hit a metal guide rail on the road's north side, said authorities. The 31-year-old motorcyclist's name was not reported by troopers.  State police are continuing to investigate the crash.
