The Westchester community is mourning the tragic loss of Julianna “JJ” Sannino, a talented 20-year-old dancer, student, and aspiring teacher whose vibrant spirit touched all who knew her.
Sannino died on Thursday, April 3, in Fairfield, Connecticut, at the age of 20, according to her obituary. Her cause of death was not made public.

A longtime Northern Westchester business is expanding its presence with a new store, marking the next milestone in its nearly five-decade-long history.
The new store, which will be built on a five-acre lot at 2010 Maple Hill St. in Yorktown, will be the future home of Atlantic Appliance, a business that has been serving the area since 1975, Yorktown town officials announced on Friday, Nov. 22.

Democrat Pete Harckham, age 64, has been projected as winning re-election for his fourth term in the New York State Senate seat representing Northern Westchester and parts of Putnam and Rockland counties, according to the state's Board of Elections.
