Tommy's Tavern + Tap Announces Edgewater Opening Date
A popular bar and restaurant with nine locations in New Jersey is opening another later this month. Tommy's Tavern + Tap announced on Instagram that its Edgewater location will open at City Place on Wednesday, June 26. The expansive Tommy's menu includes pizza, burgers, salads, small plates, sushi, beer, cocktails, wine, happy hour specials, and more. Tommy's has locations in Sea Bright, Freehold, Clifton, Bridgewater, Edison, Princeton, Morris Plains, Mount Laurel, Cherry Hill, and now Edgewater. Police ID 88-Year-Old Driver Killed In South Jersey Crash
Police have identified the woman killed in a three-car crash in Mount Laurel last week. Patricia Pierson, 88, of Mount Laurel died of her injuries several hours after the crash at the intersection of Elbo Lane and Amaryllis Boulevard, police said. No one else was injured in the crash, which occurred at 12:35 p.m. on Thursday, June 6. No charges had been filed. The crash remains under investigation.

Thieves Flee After Crashing Stolen Car On Garden State Parkway, Lead Pursuit In Another
Two juveniles and an 18-year-old are in custody after crashing a stolen vehicle on the Garden State Parkway and trying to flee, police said. Quamir Kirkland, 18, of Somerset, and two juveniles from Mount Laurel and Atlantic City, initially crashed a Kia Sportage stolen out of Atlantic City near milepost 101.7 in Tinton Falls on Saturday, May 26 at 7:25 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. NJ Man Approaching Teens Under PA Bridge ID'd, Charged, Police Say
A 32-year-old man from Mount Laurel, NJ, has been arrested after he reportedly approached and assaulted children under a bridge in Chester County, PA., authorities said. The incidents occurred on May 16 under the Broad Street Bridge in Oxford Borough, according to Crime Watch PA. Gregory A. Van Sciver, of Mount Laurel, died on May 5, according to an obituary published by Mount Laurel Home For Funerals. He was 33 years old. Greg was a lifelong resident of Mount Laurel and a 2009 graduate of Lenape High School, his obituary said. He was an excellent athlete in high school, excelling in pole vaulting as Burlington County champion and wrestling making it to the regional championships, his obit said. A vehicle crash and overturned tractor-trailer brought a massive emergency response to the New Jersey Turnpike in Burlington County early Tuesday, May 14. A driver from Philadelphia was seriously hurt in the crash, according to New Jersey State Police. Troopers responded to the crash at about 6 a.m. at Interchange 4 in Mount Laurel Township. Tractor Trailer Overturns, Becomes Wedged Under Overpass On NJ Turnpike
A portion of the NJ Turnpike was closed in Mount Laurel Tuesday morning, May 7 due to an overnight accident. A Kenworth tractor-trailer was heading southbound when it lost control, struck a guardrail and overturned at milepost 37 around 3:35 a.m., NJSP Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. The driver of the Kenworth suffered moderate injuries and was taken to an area hospital. The crash remains under investigation.

A tractor-trailer flipped, snarling traffic on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 12:50 p.m. on Monday, April 29 on the Turnpike's Interchange 4 ramp to the toll plaza in Mount Laurel, according to New Jersey State Police. Based on a preliminary investigation, the Volvo tractor-trailer overturned on its side, State Police said. As the result of the crash, the driver of the Volvo sustained minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital, police said. The crash remains under investigation.

: Officer Not At Fault In Fatal South Jersey Stolen Motorcycle Crash, Grand Jury Rules
UPDATE: A New Jersey police officer did nothing wrong in pursuing a stolen motorcycle whose driver ended up dying in a subsequent crash, a grand jury has ruled. Despite the obvious circumstances, state law and administrative guidelines required New Jersey Attorney Matthew Platkin to investigate the death last April 20 of John R.
