Police: Morris County Man, 28, Found With Meth After Car Chase, Crash, Two Foot Pursuits
A Morris County man with meth sped away from officers during a traffic stop, initiating a high-speed pursuit that ended with a crash and not one but two foot chases, police said.
Michael A. Liska, Jr., 28, sped off while officers tried to stop him for driving without a seatbelt and having a broken brake light near the Budd Lake Diner around 1:35 p.m. Saturday, Mount Olive Police said.
Liska, of Budd Lake, sped through the parking lot of CVS on Woodsedge Avenue before crashing into a vehicle on Route 46 east, police said.

Police: Morris County Woman, 43, Took Receipts From Lowe’s Parking Lot Trash, Returned For Cash
A Morris County woman was caught taking receipts out of trash cans at a local Lowe’s Home Improvement store and returning items for cash numerous times over the past several months, police said.
Penny M. Bellomi, 43, was seen removing receipts from trash cans in the parking lot of Lowe’s in Flanders on several occasions between July 30 and Dec. 8, Mount Olive Police said.
Bellomi, of Netcong, would then pick out the items listed on the receipts and return them for cash inside the store, police said.

Police: DWI Hackettstown Man, 55, Charged In Route 46 Hit-And-Run Crash
A Hackettstown man had been drinking when he left the scene of a crash on Route 46, authorities said.
Thomas E. Javier, 55, crashed his Toyota Rav 4 at the intersection of Naughright Road and Route 46 in Hackettstown just before 12:20 a.m. Sunday -- then drove away, Mount Olive police said.
Police located the front bumper of Javier’s vehicle, which was damaged in the crash, and sent a description to nearby jurisdictions, authorities said.
Washington Township Police later located Javier’s vehicle on Springtown Road and detected signs of intoxication during his questioning, authorities said.…
Police: Queens Man, 23, Tried Using Bogus Credit Card At Flanders Walmart
A Queens, NY man used a a fraudulent credit card when he attempted to pick up and pay for an order at Walmart in Flanders, authorities charged.
Mohammed S. Rahman, 23, visited the Walmart on International Drive S. and tried to pay for a pickup order on Sept. 5, Mount Olive Police said.
Further investigation revealed that Rahman was not authorized to use the card, police said.
He was arrested and charged with credit card fraud, conspiracy to commit credit card fraud, criminal attempt and theft by deception.
Rahman was released pending an appearance in court.
