Truck Crash At Washington Street Bridge In Norwalk Leads To Road Closure
South Main Street in Norwalk is closed early Saturday evening after a box truck crash at the intersection of the Washington Street Bridge, The road is expected to be closed for an extended period. No one was injured in the crash at the intersection of South Main Street and Washington Street, which occurred around 7 p.m., Norwalk Police said. The MTA Police are also on the scene. All hands were on deck on Sunday morning when a two-alarm fire broke out in a senior housing building in Beacon that had to be evacuated. Man Jumps Into Hudson River After Trespassing On Train Tracks In Scarborough, MTA Says
A man was arrested for trespassing on the tracks at the Scarborough Metro-North Station after jumping into the Hudson River in an attempt to escape. The incident took place around 9:40 a.m. Tuesday when the man was spotted trespassing on the tracks by MTA Police, MTA officials said. The man then jumped into the Hudson River when he was spotted by the officers. About 15 minutes later, he was out of the water and in custody, officials said. The unidentified man was transferred to be processed for trespassing by police, MTA officials said.

Metro-North officials have released the identity of the man struck and killed by a New Haven Line train Friday in Fairfield County. Metro-North officials suspended service on the Wassaic Line after a body was discovered near the tracks in Putnam County, according to MTA officials. Suspicious Package Leads To Metro-North New Canaan Branch Delays
Some Metro-North commuters got held up early on Tuesday morning as police investigated a suspicious bag that led to delays on the New Canaan line. MTA police investigators were dispatched to the New Canaan Metro-North station at approximately 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning following reports of an unattended bag. The subsequent police investigation led to delays of more than a half hour for commuters traveling from New Canaan to Stamford. The bag was ultimately deemed safe and trains were operating normally shortly after 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

Metro-North Delays, Cancellations After Person Struck, Killed
Some Metro-North trains are being canceled and others delayed as MTA police investigate a fatal strike near the Beacon station. Metro-North announced that the Hudson Line is experiencing service delays after an unauthorized person was struck and killed by a train at approximately 12:24 p.m. on the tracks south of the Beacon station, according to a spokesperson.
