Two Fugitives Wanted On Out-of-State Murder Charges Discovered In Western Massachusetts
Police arrested two fugitives from justice recently discovered in Western Massachusetts and wanted on out-of-state murder charges.
In separate incidents, police arrested Tyshawn Jordan, 19, and Jordon Register, 21, at locations in Springfield and Greenfield on warrants connected to homicides that happened in Hartford and South Carolina, Springfield Police said.
Jordan, of Moore South Carolina, was arrested on Feb. 11 in a Fernbank Road home in Springfield around 6:30 a.m., police said. He was charged as being a fugitive from justice on a court warrant, police said, in connection to a homici…
Arrest Made In July Shooting Of Newark Man, 22
An arrest has been made in last July's shooting of 22-year-old Tyree R. Quinones.
Al-Muqtadir Padgett, 32, a city resident, shot Quinones near 115 Sunset Ave., on July 13, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said.
Padgett was charged with murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Padgett is currently in custody at the Essex County Correctional facility.

Police have arrested the father and his fiancée in connection with the death of an 8-year-old Long Island boy.
Thomas Valva was found dead in the driveway of his home at 11 Bittersweet Lane, in Center Moriches, around 9:40 a.m., Friday, Jan. 17.
The boy's father, Michael Valva, said the child had fallen in the driveway.
