One Rushed To Westchester Medical Center In Critical Condition After Two-Vehicle Crash In Area
A woman was seriously injured after being hit by a BMW SUV while riding a dirt bike in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Rockland County around 10 p.m., Tuesday, July 12 in Nanuet in the area of N. Pascack Road and Clark Drive. The crash occurred when a 27-year-old New City woman was struck by the BMW while driving a dirt bike, said Det. Norm Peters of the Clarkstown Police. A Hudson Valley man will spend years behind bars after being busted for operating a multi-million dollar investment club that was actually a Ponzi scheme targeting a Haitian community, federal authorities announced. Rockland County resident Ruless Pierre, age 52, of Nanuet, has been sentenced to 84 months in prison in connection to a Ponzi-like securities fraud scheme that targeted his own community in the region. Authorities identified both drivers who were killed in a head-on crash over the weekend on the Palisades Interstate Parkway just north of the New Jersey border, responders said.
