Newburgh Man Pleads Guilty To Possessing $17K In Heroin A 23-year-old man faces 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to possession of $17,000 worth of heroin, according to  Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler. Tysha Stevens of Newburgh pleaded guilty Wednesday to criminal possession of a controlled substance in connection with his arrest on Feb. 11 for over seven ounces of heroin, the DA's office said. Stevens was nabbed by Town of Highlands police officers when they pulled over a speeding car in which he was a passenger. 21-Year-Old Newburgh Man Sentenced For Having Loaded Semiautomatic Pistol A 21-year-old Newburgh man was sentenced to nine years in prison for having a loaded .380 semi-automatic pistol, according to Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler. Frederick L. Blue, 21, was also sentenced to five years post-release supervision. Blue pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon in November.
