Woman Fatally Run Over After Fall In North New Hyde Park Parking Lot ID'd: Police
A 78-year-old woman fatally struck by a car in a North New Hyde Park parking lot on Friday, Jan. 24, has been identified as Diane Russ of Springfield Gardens, police said. The incident occurred at 2:44 p.m. in the parking lot at 2201 New Hyde Park Road, Nassau County police said. Russ fell while walking in the lot and was hit by a 2019 Nissan driven by a 49-year-old man, detectives said. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
