It happened around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12 in Smithtown. A 17-year-old from Nesconset was driving a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder westbound on Carriage House Road when he made a left turn onto Route 25A and struck a northbound 2007 Honda motorcycle operated by James Shellock, 22, of Smithtown, Suffolk County Police said.
