Two Killed In Fairfield County During Storm Two Fairfield County residents were killed and several injured as a high-powered storm system ripped through the area downing trees and power lines. A 41-year-old New Fairfield woman was killed around 5 p.m. Tuesday on Brush Hill Road when a tree fell on her vehicle, pinning her inside, said Connecticut State Trooper Sgt. Eric Haglund. Haglund said the woman's 3-year-old daughter was also in the vehicle but was not injured. The victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Danbury Hospital. Her daughter was also transported for observation…

Alert Issued For Hudson Valley Woman Wanted For Forgery New York State Police investigators are seeking the public’s assistance as they search for a woman wanted since 2014 for illegally forging checks in her family’s names. State Police from the Brewster barracks issued an alert on Wednesday for 42-year-old Angela Cioffi, who is wanted on charges that include second-degree forgery and petit larceny stemming back to her 2013 arrest for forging checks.
