Naked Man Punches Woman, Runs Into Oncoming Traffic On Long Island: Police
A Long Island man was arrested after he punched a woman, attempted to run into traffic, and fought an officer – all while nude, police said.
It happened on Sunday, Sept. 3 in New Hyde Park, according to Nassau County Police.
At approximately 10:35 p.m. near 633 Jericho Turnpike, 29-year-old Varinder Singh approached a 23-year-old woman while entirely naked.
Singh allegedly punched the woman in the upper right arm or shoulder.

On Wednesday, Aug. 23, the New York Lottery announced that a second-prize winning Mega Millions ticket, worth $1 million, was sold at a New Hyde Park convenience store.
The ticket was purchased at Cumberland Farms, located at 2201 New Hyde Park Road, and was a part of the Tuesday, Aug. 22 drawing.

Two men are behind bars in connection with a string of burglaries at Long Island businesses.
Diego Ercoli, age 50, and Hector Portilla, age 60, both of Queens, were arrested Thursday, Aug. 3, after they were caught breaking into Merrick’s Bagel Chalet on Merrick Road, according to Nassau County Police.
Detectives said the men were behind 18 other burglaries that have occurred throughout Nassau County since April 2023, including in Hicksville, New Hyde Park, and Oceanside.

Police are searching for a man who they say stole $18,000 worth of euros from a car while it was parked at a Long Island diner.
On Friday, June 30, the victim, a 38-year-old man, went to a bank in New Hyde Park to exchange $18,500 for approximately 16,959 euros, according to the Nassau County Police.
After leaving the bank, the victim put the money inside the glove box of his Nissan Altima and drove to the Williston Diner, located at 112 Hillside Avenue.

A Long Island mother and daughter who went missing have been found.
Jiery Ramos-Martinez, age 2, and her mother, Telma Martinez, age 24, had last been seen in New Hyde Park walking on Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park on Friday, June 16 at 7 a.m., according to Nassau County Police.
On Saturday afternoon, June 17, police reported the two have been found.

Road Rage: New Hyde Park Man Hits Victim After Following Him Into Manhasset Eatery, Police Say
A man is facing multiple charges after a road-rage incident at a Long Island restaurant.
The incident began in Manhasset at around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, near TGI Friday's located at 1445 Northern Blvd., when Antonio Condello, age 48, of New Hyde Park, had a verbal argument with a 39-year-old man, Nassau County Police said.
