Man Jumps Off NJ Transit Parking Garage In Central Jersey
A man jumped to his death off a New Jersey Transit parking garage, authorities said. At approximately 3:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 7, NJ Transit Police were notified by Woodbridge police that an adult male had jumped from the Metropark Station parking garage, they said. New Jersey Transit Police arrived on scene and the man was pronounced dead, they said. An active investigation led by the NJ Transit Police Department is ongoing.

Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Train On Jersey Shore
A pedestrian died after being struck by a New Jersey Transit train, authorities said. At approximately 8:57 a.m. on Wednesday, June 7, North Jersey Coast Line train 4334 struck and fatally injured a pedestrian in the vicinity of Roseld Avenue in Deal, a NJ Transit spokesman said. That's between the Allenhurst and Elberon stations. Woman Struck By NJ Transit Train In Warren County
A woman was struck by a train in Warren County on Wednesday, May 3, investigating authorities said. The woman was struck by the Montclair-Boonton Line train 1074 east of High Street in Hackettstown shortly after 8:25 a.m., a New Jersey Transit spokesperson told Daily Voice. Man Killed By Train In Monmouth County
A man was struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit train in Monmouth County Saturday, March 11. The man was struck by North Jersey Coast Line train 4756 around 5:45 p.m. on Corlies Avenue near the Bradley Beach station, a New Jersey Transit spokesperson said. The train departed Bay Head at 5:19 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Long Branch at 5:58 p.m. There were no injuries reported to the five customers or crew on board. The next three North Jersey Coast Line trains were cancelled due to this incident, service has resumed.

Crash Closes Portion Of NJ Turnpike In Elizabeth
Twenty-five people were hospitalized in a crash involving a New Jersey Transit bus on the New Jersey Turnpike early Tuesday, Feb. 14, authorities said. A No. 139 line bus fro Lakewood was heading to Port Authority with 29 customers on board when it was involved in a collision with a Mack and a Freightliner around 7:30 a.m. near Interchange 13 in Elizabeth, NJT officials said. The 25 occupants transported to area hospitals suffered non life-threatening injuries while four refused medical attention. No further details were available.

A person was injured after being struck by an MTA train in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Rockland County around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27 in Spring Valley. According to MTA officials, the person was struck by a train departing Spring Valley Station at the Dutch Lane crossing. A 24-year-old man from Ireland was struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit train in Spring Lake last week, authorities said. Anthony Mulhearn, of Mulinavat, Ireland, was in the U.S. on a visa staying in Spring Lake when he was hit by a North Jersey Coast Line train at about 11:50 p.m. Thursday just south of the train station. North Jersey Coast Line train 4398 left Bay Head at 11:34 p.m., headed to Long Branch. It had six people aboard, officials said.

NJ Transit Driver Shoots Teen Boy With Stolen Gun After Assault: Officials
A 15-year-old boy was in critical condition after being shot by a New Jersey Transit driver apparently being assaulted by him over the weekend in Jersey City, officials said. Charles Fieros, 48, was standing outside the bus on Monticello and Jewett Avenue when he retrieved the gun and shot at the group of boys who had assaulted him around 9:40 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, Jersey City spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said.
