Tractor-Trailer Fire Partially Blocks NJ Turnpike
A tractor-trailer fire partially blocked the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. A right lane and shoulder in Eidson Township remained blocked at about 7 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, according to 511nj.org. The fire occurred at about 4:30 a.m. southbound north of Interchange 9 (Exit 18), the New Jersey Department of Transportation reported.

Two suspects remain at large after leading cops on a vehicle pursuit through Northern New Jersey on the late afternoon of Thursday, Feb. 8, authorities said. A tractor-trailer collided with a passenger car on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1 in Carneys Point Township, according to New Jersey State Police. Based on a preliminary investigation, a Chevy passenger vehicle and an East tractor-trailer were traveling southbound. In the area of milepost 10, both vehicles collided, State Police said. A driver escaped serious injury when his tractor-trailer overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike in Camden County, authorities said. The crash occurred shortly before 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24 on the turnpike southbound near milepost 27 in Barrington, according to New Jersey State Police spokesman Troy McNair. The driver lost control of his tractor-trailer, ran off the roadway to the right and overturned, McNair said. The driver sustained minor injuries, he said. Driver, 26, Killed In Fiery East Rutherford Turnpike Toll Plaza Crash
A 26-year-old driver was killed in a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike overnight, authorities said. The Summit driver was heading west in a Toyota on the highway's Interchange 16W exit when he struck the toll plaza concrete abutment and overturned around 3:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 21 in East Rutherford, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan said. It happened near milepost 112.7, where the vehicle erupted in flames, Marchan said. The driver died as a result of the crash, which remains under investigation.

A tractor-trailer caught fire on the New Jersey Turnpike in Burlington County, authorities said. New Jersey State Police responded at 4:11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11 to a vehicle fire on the New Jersey Turnpike south outers, milepost 53.7 in Bordentown Township, according to spokesman Trooper Troy McNair. Upon troopers' arrival, a Wabash tractor-trailer was found fully engulfed in flames, McNair said. There were no injuries reported and the cause remains under investigation, he said. The right shoulder remained blocked as of 11 a.m., 511nj.org reported.
