A teenager has been sentenced to time behind bars after pleading guilty to assault for his role in a high school stabbing in Westchester County last year. Bryan Stamps, 16, has been sentenced as a Juvenile Offender to a term of between one to three years in state prison for first-degree assault, for his role in the stabbing at New Rochelle High School of a classmate. A high school administrator in Westchester who was implicated in a grade-fixing scheme has been fired, officials announced on Tuesday. Shadia Alvarez, who allegedly changed more than 200 grades for dozens of New Rochelle students, saw her position terminated this week, the Board of Education announced. More than 200 grades were changed for dozens of students in New Rochelle as part of a grade-fixing scheme, the district’s Board of Education announced in a report this week.
