Officers Jennifer Morrone and Matthew Vecchione found the 58-year-old Totowa victim face down and unconscious in Terminal A around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, the Port Authority's Joseph Pentangelo said.The officer began CPR and administered a defibrillator shock that restored his heartbeat, he said. The victim was taken Newark Beth Israel Hospital.

James Bressman, 42, of Philadelphia was arrested after the .25-caliber semi-automatic pistol, loaded with seven bullets, was spotted in his carry-on luggage, along with two magazines for the weapon, the Port Authority's Joseph Pentangelo said. Police charged Bressman with illegal weapons possession. On Feb. 1, TSA agents stopped another firearm, a .38-caliber handgun, as it went through a screener. An arrest was made in that case, as well.

Newark: Passenger Deploys Emergency Exit Chute, Says He Got On Wrong Plane A passenger who said he'd boarded the wrong plane at Newark Airport opened an emergency door and deployed an exit slide, said police who arrested him Sunday night. United Airlines Flight 1640 flight bound for Tampa was still at the Terminal C gate when 25-year-old Troy Fattun of Minnesota became disorderly around 10 p.m., the Port Authority's Joseph Pentangelo said. The incident held up the flight for nearly five hours, with passengers having to get off and then later reboard, he said. Charges were pending, Pentangelo said.
