Man Struck By Newark Fire Truck: Police
A man was struck by a fire truck on Newark on the evening of Thursday, Nov. 2, authorities said. The adult male pedestrian was near Summit Street and Warren Street when he was hit at 7:47 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. He was taken to University Hospital and is in stable condition, Fragé said The incident remains under investigation, Fragé said.

A 3-year-old was found unharmed in Jersey City after an AMBER alert was issued out of Newark on Tuesday, Oct. 31. At 8:15 a.m., police responded to the 100 block of Wilson Avenue after a vehicle was carjacked with the child left inside, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. At 10:30 a.m., police found the vehicle in Jersey City with the child inside and unharmed, Fragé said. The incident remains under investigation.

False Bomb Threat At Newark School: Police
A false bomb threat was phoned into BRICK Avon Academy in Newark on Monday, Oct. 23, police said. Police responded to the school at 1 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. Police, along with the Essex County Sherriff's Office K-9 unit conducted a sweep of the building and determined the call was false, Fragé said. The incident remains under investigation, Fragé said.

Two Teens Shot In Newark: Police
Two teenagers were shot in Newark on Thursday, Oct. 12, authorities said. At 8:40 p.m., police responded to the 300 block of Goldsmith Avenue and found a 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy suffering from gunshot wounds, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. The victims were transported to University Hospital and are in stable condition, Fragé said. The incident remains under investigation, Fragé said.

At 5:19 p.m., Newark police found the body inside a dumpster on the 600 block of Clinton Avenue, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Alimou Diallo, a 6-year-old Newark boy diagnosed with autism, has been missing since Monday morning, Sept. 18, police said. Diallo was last seen at 2 a.m. in his residence on the 600 block of Elizabeth Avenue, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said. Alimou was wearing a blue t-shirt and a white diaper. Two people were hospitalized after being shot in Newark Saturday morning, authorities said.
