Police Seek ID For Pair Of Newark Armed Carjacking Suspects Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a man and woman in connection with an armed carjacking that occurred in Newark Wednesday evening. The armed suspects — pictured above — carjacked a white 2016 Toyota Camry on the 100 block of South 9th Street around 7:30 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara said. The man is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build and dressed in all black clothing and a black face mask, O’Hara said. 9-Year-Old Boy Shot In Newark A  9-year-old boy was shot in Newark on Friday evening, authorities confirmed Police were called to the 200 block of South Orange around 6:35 p.m., where the boy was found -- grazed by gunfire, Newark Public Safety Director Brian O’Hara said. The boy was taken to University Hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. No other injuries were reported.  The incident remains under investigation. No further information was available.

The officer discharged one round at the dog on the 300 block of Emmet Street, but the dog was not injured around 1:50 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Brian O'Hara said.  The officer was transported to University Hospital for treatment and the incident was under investigation.

Rajon Collins, 42, of Newark was struck near Springfield Avenue and South 18th Street around 9:15 p.m., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N.
