Several new train stations may be coming to Connecticut - including one in Fairfield County - under Gov. Ned Lamont’s toll plan proposal.
Earlier this month, the governor released a 24-page preliminary draft of his electronic highway tolling plan, which calls for no more than 50 gantries on Interstates 91, 95, 84, and along Route 15, which includes the Merritt and Wilbur Cross parkways.

Nation's Largest Mattress Retailer Will Close Six Stores In Connecticut
Mattress Firm, the nation's largest mattress retailer, will close 700 stores nationwide, including six in Connecticut, after filing for bankruptcy.It has more than 3,200 stores and nearly 10,000 employees in the U.S. and in recent years had aggressively expanded its retail footprint.
That rapid expansion of stores, including locations often close to each other, resulted in "cannibalization" of sales, the company said.

Puerto Rico To CT Cocaine Trafficking Ring Probe Nets Seven Indictments
Seven people were indicted on Thursday, April 19 on charges related to alleged smuggling of cocaine via the mail from Puerto Rico to Connecticut, according to U.S. Attorney John H. Durham.
Charged in the indictment were: Erick Suarez, 29, of New Britain; Jerry "Bebo" Rodriguez, 28, of Hartford; Luis Gonzalez-Ofarril, 23, of New Britain; Luis Torres, 35, of New Britain; and Gregory Torres, 39, of Hartford. Two additional suspects from Puerto Rico were indicted.
