PA Man Charged For Repeatedly Raping 25-Year-Old, Police
A Cumberland County man has been charged for allegedly repeatedly sexually assaulting a woman, according to Newville police. Ronald Lee Martin Jr., 58, of Newville, was arrested on Monday. A 25-year-old woman reported that she was sexually assaulted multiple times by Martin starting in Aug. 2021. PA Man Seriously Injured After Girlfriend Driver Over Him With Car, Police Say
A man has been "substantial injured" after his girlfriend drove over him, according to Newville police. Police were dispatched to Vine Street on Sept. 10 around 3:45 p.m. Upon arrival they found, "a man who had sustained substantial injuries to his left arm, hip and right foot," police said in a statement on Thursday. A man was arrested in Newville after police stopped him while driving around with a gas pump hanging out of his car and found heroin. Harry Pytak, 67, of Shermansdale, was stopped while driving his Honda Accord by police in the first block of East Main Street in Newville on Friday, July 23 at 8:45 p.m. Pytak had a gas pump handle and hose hanging from the gas tank of his vehicle and had been dragging them along the road while he was driving, according to Newville police. The infamous local mother who abused her adoptive children is facing new charges after police learned more about the abuse the children suffered while in her care. A K-9 officer sniffed out methamphetamine on a DUI Cumberland County driver during a routine motor vehicle stop. Newville police pulled over a black and white Ford Crown Victoria for operating the car without official certification of inspection on 100 North High Street on April 13. A Newville man has been found guilty of the homicide death of his 4-month-old son, according to court records. Brian Wagner, 34, has been convicted of criminal homicide, aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child and third degree murder for the death of his son who died on July 6, 2017. A 4-month-old boy died from an infection not parental abuse, reports PennLive. Brian Wagner, 34 of Newville, is standing trial for the homicide of his 4-month-old son Finnick in July 2017. Dr. Michael Laposata, a medical expert testified, "This child was likely to die," on Tuesday when questioned by the District Attorney. Tractor-Trailer Crash Closes I-81 Northbound Lanes
A tractor-trailer crash on I-81 closed all northbound lanes on Monday afternoon. Crews were called to the scene of a crash near Exit 29 to Newville PA174 around 1:35 p.m. The tractor-trailer had rolled on its side, blocking all lanes. It was towed from the road around 2 p.m. There is no word on any injuries. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
