Initial Mystery Surrounds Woman's Body Found On Tracks In Fair Lawn
NJ TRANSIT was trying to determine which and when one of its trains struck a woman at the Radburn station in Fair Lawn before dawn Monday. Firefighters were called to wash down the tracks, suggesting some type of train involvement. Responders at the scene said it was suspected -- but not yet confirmed -- that an empty train being "deadheaded" up the line to Suffern struck the person sometime between 5:45 and 6:15 a.m. April 15. Seven people were injured when a New Jersey Transit bus crashed in an Atlantic County shopping mall parking lot, authorities said. Egg Harbor Township police responded to the crash in the parking lot of Harbor Square on Black Horse Pike at around 9:59 p.m. on Thursday, Apr. 11, the department said in a news release. One person was fatally struck by an Atlantic City Rail Line bound for Philadelphia early Monday, April 1, authorities told Daily Voice. Teens Who Tried Carjacking Bentley In Edison Arrested
Two of three suspects in an attempted carjacking in Edison have been arrested, authorities said. Edison Mayor Sam Joshi said that a 16-year-old and 17-year-old had been arrested. The mayor thanked local police as well as NJ Transit and Rahway police. The attempted carjacking of a Bentley SUV occurred outside Patel Brothers grocery store on Oak Tree Road at about 5 p.m. on Friday, March 15. The driver had the key fob in his pocket, so the teens were unable to steal the SUV.

$200 Million Healthcare Center Breaks Ground At NJ Transit Station
A new $200 million health and wellness center is hours away from breaking ground at none other than a NJ Transit station. The Hackensack Meridian Health facility will break ground Friday, March 8 at the New Jersey Transit Metropark Station in Iselin. The first of its kind, the center is expected to be completed by 2025. NJ Transit officials have identified the 36-year-old woman struck and killed by a train in River Edge over the weekend. Kim N. Authorities have identified the man who was killed by an NJ Transit train in Monmouth County. It was a day to forget for a 27-year-old Newark man. On Tuesday, Jan. 23, a Maplewood police officer observed a parked motor vehicle with fogged-up windows on Millburn Avenue.
