Truck Overturns In NJ Turnpike Crash In Elizabeth
Delays were being reported along the NJ Turnpike Friday, June 21 due to a crash and overturned truck, the NJDOT said. The crash happened in the outer roadway of the northbound lanes, south of Interchange 13A. Two center lanes were blocked as of 9:20 p.m.

Service to NJ Transit and Amtrak trains was disrupted for the second time this week on Thursday, June 20 due to both power issues and brush fires along the NJ Turnpike, officials said. Amtrak service between Philadelphia and New Haven had been suspended while NJ Transit service in and out of NY Penn Station was also suspended, due to power issues on the Amtrak line, NJ Transit said. A 32-year-old driver from Philadelphia has been sentenced to three years in New Jersey State Prison in connection with a crash that killed his passenger in Edison, authorities said. Yvenson Louis, 32, was sentenced on June 12 in connection with the fatal crash that occurred on March 27, 2023, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone. Tractor Trailer Crash Closes NJ Turnpike In Leonia
A crash between a tractor trailer and a passenger car closed a portion of the New Jersey Turnpike in Bergen County Sunday evening, June 16, authorities said. The tractor trailer collided with a Toyota SUV on the northbound side at milepost 120.3 in Leonia, just before 8:30 p.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Jeffrey Lebron said. Minor injuries were reported, however, all lanes were blocked for a significant amount of time. The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information was available.

A vehicle crash and overturned tractor-trailer brought a massive emergency response to the New Jersey Turnpike in Burlington County early Tuesday, May 14. A driver from Philadelphia was seriously hurt in the crash, according to New Jersey State Police. Troopers responded to the crash at about 6 a.m. at Interchange 4 in Mount Laurel Township. Tractor Trailer Overturns, Becomes Wedged Under Overpass On NJ Turnpike
A portion of the NJ Turnpike was closed in Mount Laurel Tuesday morning, May 7 due to an overnight accident. A Kenworth tractor-trailer was heading southbound when it lost control, struck a guardrail and overturned at milepost 37 around 3:35 a.m., NJSP Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. The driver of the Kenworth suffered moderate injuries and was taken to an area hospital. The crash remains under investigation.

The sudden death of a 41-year-old audio engineer is sending shockwaves through the Atlantic City and Philadelphia music scene. Matthew T. Martin, of Audubon, was heading east in Winslow Township when he ran off the road to the left and struck a tree in the center median around 6:45 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt.
