North Amityville Man, 32, Charged For 2016 Murder A 32-year-old man from North Amityville has been charged for a 2016 murder. Suffolk County Police say they received a call reporting that two men were shot in front of 18 Emerald Lane North in Amityville around 3:20 a.m. on July 4, 2016. Following a series of investigations, Homicide Squad detectives arrested Adrian Harrison and charged him with second-degree murder on Monday, June 3. Body Found In North Amityville Home Police are working to identify a badly decomposed body that was found inside an abandoned North Amityville home. The body was found around 12:15 p.m., Thursday, May 30, in the vacant home on Schliegel Boulevard, said the Suffolk County Police. Homicide detectives were unable to determine the cause of death due to decomposition.  The Suffolk County Medical Examiner will attempt to determine the cause of death and identify the person. The Suffolk County Crime Stoppers have issued a $5,000 cash reward for information that leads to the arrest of two caught on camera robbing a 7-Eleven store in North Amityville with a knife earlier this year. According to police, two men, one armed with a knife, demanded cash from an employee at approximately 3:20 a.m. on Jan. 14 at the 7-Eleven on Broadway. The employee complied and the men fled on foot after taking an undisclosed amount of cash.
