More than five kilos of a highly dangerous – and potentially fatal – drug mixture was seized and three men arrested in North Bergen in a joint operation of local and federal authorities. A handgun and $100,000 in drug cash were recovered along with the nearly 12 pounds of Ecstasy and Ketamine, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. A 60-year-old West New York woman suffered a collapsed lung after being pinned under a USPS truck in North Bergen Tuesday night, Jan. 30, sources tell Daily Voice. The off-duty USPS driver was turning left from 45th Street onto the Bergen Turnpike when he struck the woman crossing from west to east. Downhill Tow Truck Slams Into North Bergen Home
A tow truck towing a USPS truck slammed into the porch of a North Bergen home on Friday, Dec. 29. The truck was going downhill on 73rd at Grand Avenue when the back wheels came off the ground, sending the truck flying down to Liberty Avenue, where the driver crashed into the porch of the home, Police Capt. Jorge Raposo said. Had the truck not crashed into the home it would've gone right into Route 1&9, which was experiencing bumper-to-bumper traffic, the captain said.
