West New York Driver Hit Cyclist, Fled Scene: Prosecutors
A 37-year-old West New York Man was charged on Friday, Nov. 3 with striking a cyclist and then leaving the scene last year, authorities said. On Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 12:20 p.m., Jason Flores was driving an Acura MDX when he hit a bicyclist, a 33-year-old North Bergen woman, riding an electric bike at 50th Street and Bergenline Avenue, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Flores did not remain at the scene, Suarez said. The bicyclist was transferred to Jersey City Medical Center with serious injuries, Suarez said. Loaded Guns, Pot, Mushrooms Lead To Arrests Of North Bergen Men Following Fairview PD Stop
A Fairview police officer found a North Bergen ex-con and a companion with 22 pounds of pot, six pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, two loaded guns and more during a traffic stop, authorities said. Video Shows 11-Year-Old Being Struck By Hit-Run Car In North Bergen
An 11-year-old child in North Bergen is okay after being struck by a car that subsequently fled the scene on Tuesday, Oct. 17, based on video posted online. The boy was crossing the street at 76th Street and Hudson Avenue when an SUV ran a stop sign, struck the kid and continued on without stopping. Police said they are investigating. The child's mother is urging anyone with information to come forward and help identify the driver, according to HudPost.

North Bergen Man Drove Drunk When He Struck Pedestrian: Prosecutors
A 40-year-old North Bergen man was arrested and charged on Tuesday, Oct. 3, after they drove while intoxicated and struck a pedestrian last month, authorities said. On Friday, Sept. 8 at 3:30 a.m., Steven Inoa, was driving a Honda Pilot at Bergenline Avenue and 92nd Street when it struck a 65-year-old woman, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Video Captures Pedestrian Struck By Jeep In Hudson County
A 33-year-old woman was injured after she was struck by a Jeep Cherokee in North Bergen on the afternoon of Monday, Sept. 25, police said. The Jeep driver, a 39-year-old woman, was turning left onto 83rd Street when she struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk around 4:50 p.m., North Bergen Police Capt. Jorge Raposo said. A 65-year-old woman was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle driven by a drunk driver on the early morning of Friday, Sept. 8 in North Bergen, authorities said.
