Authorities: Edison Man, 42, Charged In Fatal Shooting
A 42-year-old man from Edison has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Perth Amboy, authorities said.
Robert Hagens, 42, was charged on Tuesday with the murder of Vidal Carrasquillo-Vasquez, 41, of Perth Amboy, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Perth Amboy Police Chief Roman McKeon.
Hagens also was charged with unlawfully possessing a weapon, they said.
Hagens previously had been arrested on Aug. 24 on a charge of conspiracy to possess cocaine, they said.

A Passaic County woman has been sentenced to six years in state prison for causing the death of an 80-year-old driver from Central Jersey nearly two years ago, authorities said.
Elizabeth Gomez, 44, of Paterson, was sentenced on Wednesday by Superior Court Judge Colleen M. Flynn.
In her Dec. 23, 2019, plea agreement with Middlesex County Assistant Prosecutor Keith Abrams, Gomez admitted to vehicular homicide and driving while intoxicated, causing the death of Wen-Fu Lin, 80, of East Brunswick, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said in a statement.
