Northern VA Soccer Community Mourns Loss Of Coaching Legend Ken Krieger, 69
The death of one of the region's most successful soccer coaches has left Northern Virginia grieving.
Ken Krieger, of Manassas, died Monday, March 4. He was 69 years old.

Krieger's brother, Scott, said he died of Alzheimer's, "a dreaded disease that first robbed him of his mind, then proceeded to shut down his body.

New Forecast: Increased Snowfall Totals Expected, Arctic Temps To Follow Northeast Storm
Newly-released forecast maps show parts of the region could see up to six inches of snow in the end-of-week storm.
Intermittent snow is expected to begin between 4 and 7 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, with the heaviest amounts falling in the afternoon, the National Weather Service said.
Snow will fall at about 0.5 inches per hour and will taper by the evening, with temps in the upper 20s and low 30s, the NWS said.

Snow Day! Weather Closes Schools Across Virginia
Schools across Northern Virginia are closed Tuesday, Jan. 16 due to the snow.
Snow began falling across the region Monday, Jan. 15, and is expected to turn to a wintry mix overnight.
All Fairfax, Stafford, Loudoun, Prince William, Alexandria, and Arlington public schools will be closed on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service shows Northern Virginia is expected to see 1 to 3 inches by the end of the night Monday, Jan. 15.
Rain, snow, and freezing rain will fall likely before noon, with another chance of snow later in the day, making for hazardous road conditions.
