Motive For Fatal Stabbing Of Westchester Restaurant Worker Remains Mystery
The cause of a dispute between employees at a popular Westchester restaurant that led to a man's fatal stabbing by a female co-worker late Tuesday morning remains a mystery. The suspect in the incident at River City Grille on Route 9 in Irvington, identified by Irvington Police as 27-year-old Rosa Ramirez of Manhattan, who was recently hired as a dishwasher at the restaurant, has been charged with murder and was arraigned Tuesday afternoon. Wappingers Falls Police Use Narcan To Rescue Overdose Victim
A Village of Wappingers Falls man is alive thanks to quick-acting cops and the use of Narcan. The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. Thursday when Officers Devin Ludwig and Joshua Kemlage responded the Tinkleman Plaza on Route 9 for a report of an unconscious male, said Sgt. P. Capparelli. When they arrived on scene they found a 30-year-old unresponsive man with shallow breathing and a light, but rapid pulse lying on his back in the parking lot. Details Emerge In Crash That Caused Hours-Long Route 9 Closure
The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department released information on Monday on the two-car crash that led to the closure of a stretch of Route 9 in the area of Sharon Drive on Sunday. Preliminary investigation reveals that, at around 5:37 p.m., a 2006 Dodge Durango, operated by a 42-year-old man from the City of Poughkeepsie, traveling northbound on Route 9, struck a center guard rail/median causing the vehicle to overturn and subsequently struck a 2002 Kia Sedona, operated by a 62-year-old female from the City of Poughkeepsie, also traveling north on Route 9. A Westchester man is facing a felony charge after receiving his second DWI in the past decade following an early morning stop in Croton-on-Hudson. New York State Police troopers on patrol at approximately 3:40 a.m. on Friday morning stopped a 2017 Dodge Challenger driven by Cortlandt resident Christopher Johnson, 42, after he committed a vehicle and traffic law violation on Route 9. Chain Reaction, Four-Vehicle Wappingers Falls Crash Backs Up Traffic
A four-vehicle crash in Wappingers Falls led to midday delays near Party City, according to state police. The crash, which occurred around 12:15 p.m. Thursday on Route 9 at Liss Road, was a chain reaction with the first car rear-ending the second, followed by two others who couldn't stop in time, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
