Woman Jumps From Mid-Span Of New Tappan Zee Bridge
This story has been updated. A woman who jumped from the upper deck of the mid-span of the Tappan Zee Bridge has been transported to a hospital. The woman jumped from the bridge around 9 a.m, Monday, Dec. 7, near Tarrytown, said the New York State Police. Within minutes after the dispatch, multiple agencies including Central Nyack, Nyack, Thiells, Tarrytown Fire Departments responded to the bridge to start a search for the female victim, said the Piermont Fire Department. One Killed In Two-Vehicle Rockland County Crash
A man was killed in a crash with another motorcycle in Rockland County on Route 304. The crash took place around 11:05 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, in Nanuet, in the area of West Nyack Road and Route 304, said the Clarkstown Police Department. As officers arrived on the scene, they found an injured male and a motorcycle lying in the roadway. Officers along with the Nanuet Ambulance Corp. and Rockland Paramedics began rendering aid to the injured man. A Rockland County teenage woman was charged with fleeing from police and reckless driving after crashing a vehicle. The incident took place Monday, Nov. 2, when the Montebello 18-year-old fled when a Ramapo Police officer attempted to stop her vehicle that was traveling at a high rate of speed in the Hillcrest section of the Town of Ramapo, Ramapo Police said. A three-vehicle crash in Rockland County on Route 202 occurred after one of the drivers allegedly fell asleep at the wheel of his vehicle. The crash took place on Wednesday, Oct. 28, in the Pomona Section of Ramapo, said the Ramapo Police. One Hospitalized In Rockland Crash After Driver Ignores Stop Light, Police Say
A rollover car crash in Rockland County sent one driver to the hospital after one party ignored a red light, according to police. At approximately 8:10 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25, a Town of Ramapo police officer responded to the scene of the crash near Hemion Road in the Suffern Park area of Montebello. Both drivers were upright when he arrived, said police, but witnesses told police that one vehicle had rolled over. The injured party was sent to Nyack Hospital as a precaution, police said. The other operator, who ran a stoplight, was issued a traffic summons.

A 26-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. The crash happened just after 8:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, in Rockland County on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in the town of Orangetown. An investigation revealed that a 2010 Hyundai Elantra, being operated Anthonelli Ramos, of New York City, was traveling north on the PIP and was exiting at exit 9E at the time of the crash, police said. Duo Accused Of Unlawfully Selling Fireworks After Foot Chase In Westchester
A 24-year-old man speeding on I-87 in Westchester attempted to take New York State Police on a brief chase after being busted with illegal fireworks during a traffic stop on I-87. New York State Police troopers stopped Long Island resident Jonathan Mata, of Great Neck, at approximately 11 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, when he was clocked driving 93 mph in a posted 45 mph zone on I-87 in Tarrytown.
