Shawn Reilly's 21-year-old son ran into the water after him on Thursday, Sept. 8 at the unprotected 12th Street beach, the outlet said. Frank Molter Jr., of Somers Point, was hit along Route 52 in front of the Economy Motel on Saturday night, July 23.  He was struck in the westbound lane by a vehicle operated by a 59-year-old Mt. Laurel woman. He worked at Bally's Atlantic City, according to his Facebook page. Molter was born and raised in Ocean City, where he graduated high school in 1986, according to his obituary. Young Pilot Killed In Cape May Plane Crash A 22-year-old pilot was killed in a Cape May County plane crash early Saturday, July 16, authorities said. Thomas Gibson was the sole occupant of the single-engine Piper PA-12 that crashed into a field near Paramount Air Airport around 9:40 a.m., the FAA and Middle Township police said. The Ocean City resident was pronounced dead at the scene. According to his social media pages, Gibson graduated from Marywood University in Scranton, PA, and had been working for Gibson Electrical & General Contractors. The crash was under investigation.
