Firefighters Douse Saddle River Blaze A fully-involved attached-garage fire Tuesday severely damaged a Saddle River home. The three-alarm fire broke out at the 2½-story Cortland Drive home off Chestnut Ridge Road around 3:45 p.m. Firefighters had it doused in under 20 minutes. No injuries were reported. Park Ridge, Montvale and Washington Township firefighters were among the mutual responders.

Park Ridge Firefighter Mark "Cookey" Eisen, 63, was recently placed on the National Kidney Registry after diabetes caused late-stage kidney failure. He’s scheduled to begin dialysis in 2021 but hopes to find him a kidney before then. A veteran of seven years with the U.S. Navy, Eisen has been a borough firefighter for nearly three decades. Park Ridge Philanthropist Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Incapacitated Woman A Park Ridge man was accused of sexually assaulting a woman at his apartment, authorities said Tuesday. The woman called 9-1-1 from outside Larry Rosner's South Maple Avenue apartment and said he had sexually assaulted her while she was incapacitated Aug. 6, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Responding police found the woman standing outside of the apartment, 55-year-old Rosner still inside.
