A Paterson shootout left two men wounded, one with critical injuries, late Saturday, Oct. 5 , authorities said.
The 33-year-old man and 28-year-old man, both of Paterson, exchanged gunfire near Straight Avenue and Park Place around 11:15 p.m., Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In- Charge Isa Abbassi said.

Two people were killed in a Paterson fire early Friday, Sept. 20, authorities said.
While a 28-year-old and 69-year-old man were able to escape, the bodies of two other victims were found in the home at 71 North 7th Street just after 2:30 a.m., Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Cops ID Victim, Suspected Gunman In Deadly Paterson Shooting
Police have made an arrest in a Paterson shooting that left a 41-year-old man dead over Labor Day Weekend.
Daquann Barnes, 37, of Paterson, is believed to have shot and killed Raheem Porter, who was found lying face down at Auburn and Ellison streets on Saturday, Aug. 31 around 2:45 a.m., Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi said.
Porter was taken to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. An investigation identified Barnes as the shooter, police said.
