Two South Jersey men were each sentenced to a plea-bargained four years in state prison Wednesday for trying to lure what they thought were underage girls to meet them for sex. The “girls” whom William Singleton, 25, of Pemberton, and Charles Schlottfeld, 28, of Bayville met online were actually undercover detectives. Hot Afternoon For Car Fires Along Jersey Shore
Vehicle fires appeared contagious late Tuesday. There were four emergency calls in three hours in Burlington and Middlesex counties, authorities said. The first call, at 4:10 p.m. in Burlington County, involved a pickup truck, initial reports said. The fire spread from the truck to some grass at Magnolia and New Lisbon roads in Pemberton. South Jersey Man, 56, Pleads Guilty To Distributing Child Pornography
A 56-year-old man from Burlington County had admitted to possessing more than 1,000 images of child pornography and making the illegal images available for others to download, authorities said. Guy Valachovic of Pemberton pleaded guilty on Monday to two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said. Valachovic faces up to eight years in state prison when he is sentenced by Superior Court Judge Terrence R. Cook on Feb. 13, 2021, according to Coffina. Authorities: Pemberton Man Gets 20 Years In Prison For Sexual Assault On 'Courageous' Girl
A 41-year-old man from Pemberton was sentenced to 20 years in state prison for sexually assaulting a young girl last year, authorities said. Erick Gentner, of the Browns Mills section of the township, must serve all 20 years before becoming eligible for parole, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said in a statement.
