A 55-year-old Pennsylvania mom is out of the hospital after a bear attack in her own backyard, she told Daily Voice. Lee Ann Galante was letting her dog out of the backdoor of her home on Bellefield Drive, Butler Township at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, and unknown to her there were three cubs in a tree — that's when the mama bear attacked, as Daily Voice initially reported. NJ Dunkin' Customer 'Rendered Disabled' In Hot Coffee Spill, Lawsuit Says
A New Jersey man has filed a lawsuit against Dunkin' Donuts alleging he was seriously burned by "excessively hot" coffee in 2022. Phillip Sgroi says in the suit filed in Middlesex County Superior Court that he was at a Madison (Morris County) location on Feb. 11, 2022, when he purchased his beverage. Sgroi's suit alleges the lid came off and the "excessively hot" coffee in the cup spilled on him. Sgroi said he was rendered disabled and suffered internal and external wounds on his body. Driver, 38, Killed After Hitting Landscaping Stone, Tree In South Jersey Crash
A 38-year-old Williamstown man died in a Franklin Township crash late Saturday, March 2, local police said. Robert Lafferty III's Kia Optima veered off the 3500 block of West Malaga Road into the oncoming lane of traffic before hitting a landscaping stone, several mailboxes and a tree before coming to rest, local police said. Lafferty was hospitalized where he was pronounced dead while his 41-year-old male passenger suffered a possible broken wrist, police said. The crash remains under investigation.

Man Hospitalized After Being Struck By Car Outside Long Island Fitness Center
A man is recovering after being struck by a car in the parking lot of a Long Island fitness center. The incident happened at around 9:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8, in Riverhead, just outside the Planet Fitness on Old Country Road. According to Riverhead Police, a 52-year-old woman was driving a Honda pickup truck through the parking lot when she struck the victim, identified as a 68-year-old Aquebogue man.
