Winners: Mega Millions Lottery Players Take Home $40K, $10K
There were two third-tier prizewinning tickets in the Friday, Sept. 30 Mega Millions lottery game.
Four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn won the $10,000 prize.
One of those tickets was purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $40,000.
Those tickets were purchased at the following locations:
Passaic County ($40,000): 777 Food Store, 251 Haledon Ave., Haledon; and,
Middlesex County ($10,000): Constanza Mini Market, 703 State St., Perth Amboy.

Murder: Elizabeth Man Bludgeoned Woman To Death, Prosecutor Says
An Elizabeth man has been arrested on accusations he bludgeoned a woman to death over the weekend, authorities announced.
Victor H. Rodriguez Gomez, 33, struck 30-year-old Carmen Lopez Barahona in the head, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel, Elizabeth Police Director Earl J. Graves, and Elizabeth Police Chief Giacomo Sacca said.
Barahona was found around 2 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 11 on the the 200 block of Lt. Glenn Zamorski Drive, and Gomez had fled the scene, police said.

Motorcyclist, 19, Rear-Ended, Killed In I-195 Crash: State Police
A 19-year-old motorcyclist was killed when he was rear-ended by an SUV on Interstate 195, authorities said.
Mohammad A. Abbas was riding west near milepost 5.7 in Robbinsville at 8:41 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14 when a Nissan Rogue driven by Shannon B. Monsell, 34, of Ringoes struck his motorcycle from behind, New Jersey State Police said.
Abbas, of Perth Amboy, was thrown from the Kawasaki bike and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
