An Army veteran has been identified as the man authorities say rammed a pickup truck into a crowd in the French Quarter of New Orleans early on New Year's Day morning, leaving 15 people dead and injuring approximately 35 others. Man, 75, Standing By Disabled SUV Killed In Deerfield Township Crash: Troopers
A Buena man was struck by a pickup and killed while standing next to his disabled SUV in Deerfield Township, authorities said. Marvin Saunders, 75, died in the crash on Thursday, Dec. 19, a state police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to the scene on Big Oak Road at approximately 6:35 p.m. Investigators said Saunders stood next to his disabled Nissan Pathfinder, which was in the eastbound lane. A Ford F-150 traveling east hit Saunders and his Nissan. Saunders was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported. The crash remained under investigation.

Three people were hospitalized following a four-vehicle collision in Fair Lawn on Saturday morning, Dec. 21, according to incident reporter Boyd A. Loving who captured the aftermath. Photos from the scene show a pickup truck and three small SUVs, all heavily damaged after colliding outside of the TD Bank on Fair Lawn Avenue and Saddle River Road. West Manchester Township police are asking for help identifying a man involved in a hit-and-run in the Walmart parking lot at 1000 Town Center Drive on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024.
