New York State Police troopers in Dutchess County from the Rhinebeck barracks were dispatched to Church Street in Pine Plains on Oct. 24, where there was a report of criminal mischief incident. Man Assaults Victim With Hammer In Domestic Dispute, Police Say A 34-year-old man was arrested after assaulting another person with a hammer during a domestic dispute, according to the New York State Police. James M. Macisaac of Pine Plains was arrested Sunday for the attack with took place on Friday, July 13, in Pine Plains, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Troopers were alerted to the attack when nurses at Northern Dutchess Hospital reported a possible victim of domestic violence, Hicks said.
