Cocaine, Heroin, Pot Seized; Six Arrested On Drug Charges In Atlantic City: Police
Six people were arrested on drug charges, responding to complaints from the public, authorities said.
On Thursday, Oct. 12, detectives of the Special Investigations Section and the DEA Liberty Mid-Atlantic High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area conducted a street operation throughout Atlantic City.
During the arrests, detectives recovered marijuana, heroin and cocaine that was all packaged for sale, Atlantic City police said.

Man, 45, Shot Dead In Atlantic County: Prosecutor
A 45-year-old man was shot and killed in Pleasantville, authorities said.
Mamadou Toure, of Pleasantville, was killed in the shooting, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
On Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, at approximately 8:40 a.m., a shooting occurred at West Pleasant Avenue and Main Street, the prosecutor said.
The Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit and the Pleasantville Police Department are cooperatively investigating the shooting.

A 44-year-old man from Atlantic County has admitted to being a kingpin in a drug trafficking ring from jail and causing the death of someone from a heroin overdose, authorities said.
Emery Chapman, 44, of Pleasantville, pleaded guilty on Monday, Sept. 25 to charges of first-degree leader of a narcotics trafficking network, first-degree possession of heroin with intent to distribute, and first-degree strict liability for causing a drug-induced death, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
