Man Injured In Fight Outside Stop & Shop In Trumbull
Two men outside a supermarket store were arrested after allegedly getting into a fight and causing a disturbance. The incident took place in Fairfield County at the Stop & Shop on Quality Street in Trumbull on Friday, Jan. 20. Robert Zacchia, age 55, of Trumbull, and Emmanuel Andriotis, age 19, of Bridgeport were both arrested and charged for their involvement in the incident, said Lt. Brian Weir of the Trumbull Police. A man took his own life during a domestic disturbance involving a female that brought a major police response to the scene in Berks County over the weekend. Police responded to reports of a domestic incident on Morgantown Road just south of Westley Road around 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, Robeson police said. An armed and distressed Hawthorne man was subdued by police in Fair Lawn after he threatened to kill his father, authorities said. Officers who responded to a 911 call from the 25-year-old man himself found him holding a knife and a baseball bat on River Road at Berdan Avenue shortly after 2:30 a.m., Fair Lawn Sgt. A Hudson Valley man shot himself in the head while state police worked to prevent him from doing so. The incident took place in Orange County around 3:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 12, in the town of Mount Hope. According to Trooper Steven Nevel, Orange County 911 dispatched the state police and the Town of Mount Hope Police for a reported potential suicide. Mental Health Crisis: Man Now Safe After Fairfax Home Barricade Incident
Officers responded to the residence of a man experiencing a mental health crisis on Thursday, August 4, police said. Sometime before 8:15 p.m., police arrived to the 8100 block of Halley Court in Lorton to assist a man who barricaded himself inside, according to Fairfax County Police. Police asked the public to avoid the area, and also closed both Halley Court and McCarty Road, as they try to resolve the incident peacefully, officials said.
