: Accused Wayne Bank Robber, 69, Captured In Little Falls, Suspected In Pequannock Holdup
Local police captured a Little Falls man who they said robbed a Wayne bank hours earlier -- and is suspected in another bank job last Thursday in Pequannock. With help from the FBI and the Passaic County Sheriff's Office, Wayne detectives captured 69-year-old Philip Mcgrantham at the corner of Main Street and Lincoln Avenue as he returned home in a rented Nissan Altima that a law enforcement source told Daily Voice was used in Monday morning's holdup of a TD Bank branch on Valley Avenue. Morris County Native Kelsey DeJesus Dies, 29
Kelsey Rose DeJesus, formerly of Morris and Sussex counties, died on Sept. 16. She was 29 years old. A Pompton Plains native, Kelsey was remembered for her contagious smile and adventurous personality. She attended Vernon Township High School as well as Montclair State University and Sussex County Community College, her Facebook page says. Burial was held at Glenwood Cemetery in Vernon.

: Car Falls Off Lift, Kills Mechanic, 46, At Lodi Auto Shop
A mechanic was killed in a horrific accident Tuesday when a car fell on him at the auto repair shop where he worked. The Chevy was on a lift at John's Service on Westminster Place at Charles Street when it fell onto 46-year-old Jason Menniti of Pompton Plains, authorities said. Helicopter-Aided Hunt For Route 23 Hotel Burglars Literally Turns Into Fireworks
Two bandits who burglarized a Route 23 hotel in Pompton Plains eluded an extensive search Sunday night that included a New Jersey State Police helicopter. Compounding the effort was a fireworks show set off during an event at a nearby catering hall. "It sounded like gunfire for 20 minutes," one law enforcement official told Daily Voice. Oakland Multi-Vehicle Crash: Land Rover Upended, Police Car Struck
A parked Oakland police SUV was struck during a Wednesday afternoon collision involving three other vehicles. A Land Rover ended up on its side after the crash with a Toyota sedan near the intersection of Yawpo Avenue and Ramapo Valley Road. A child and an adult with minor injuries were taken to Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains. Three others refused medical attention, including a woman whose car was rear-ended in the multi-vehicle collision, which pushed the marked police unit nearly 50 feet into another space. Boyd A.
