A staff member at a Dutchess County high school has been placed on administrative leave following allegations of inappropriate conduct, school district and law enforcement officials confirmed.
In a letter sent to families on Thursday, May 15, Arlington Central School District Superintendent Philip Benante acknowledged the serious nature of the report and said the district, which includes large parts of the towns of LaGrange, Pleasant Valley, Beekman, Poughkeepsie, and Union Vale, acted swiftly after learning of the allegations.

Two men are facing felony charges after a daytime residential burglary in Dutchess County, according to police.
The incident happened on Tuesday, May 13 around 11:53 a.m., when officers responded to a burglary report on Pershing Avenue, the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department said on Wednesday morning, May 14.

The bust happened on Wednesday, April 23, when troopers spotted a 2023 Chevrolet Malibu driving in violation of state traffic law on South Clinton Street in the City of Poughkeepsie, New York State Police announced on Thursday, April 24.

An early morning SWAT raid at a home in Dutchess County led to the arrest of two people and the seizure of drugs and cash, authorities announced.
The bust happened around 5:05 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, when members of the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department’s Neighborhood Recovery Unit and Poughkeepsie SWAT executed a search warrant at 237 Church St., the department said.
