Baby Overdoses, Nearly Dies In Central PA: Report
Two Central Pennsylvania residents have been charged in connection with the nearly fatal overdose of a 1-year-old girl, according to state police and court documents. Wesley Aaron Horting, 40, and Brittany Nicole Stotler, 35, of Quarryville in East Drumore Township, were charged on Friday, court documents show. The two found the girl was struggling to breathe in a house on the first block of Ann Place on Aug. 5 around 12 a.m., according to an affidavit of probable cause obtained by Lancaster Online. A mother of two is dead after crashing into a home in Lancaster County on Sunday, according to police. West Hempfield Township police were called to the crash in the 3200 of Marietta Avenue just before 5 a.m., police said. Stephanie Jo Herr, 30, of Quarryville, was the only occupant in the vehicle, police told LancasterOnline. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, police said. Her family and friends, however, are casting doubt on that version of events. A Lancaster County man was arrested for torturing a horse on Tuesday, according to the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, officials said. Mark S. A Lancaster County couple has been charged after leaving their children locked alone in a bedroom with "deplorable conditions," say police. Alexis Marie Absher, 24, and Collin L. Sussex County Man Killed In Pickup, Box Truck Crash
A 70-year-old man was killed after his pickup truck was struck by a box truck early Friday morning, authorities said. The box truck, driven by a 26-year-old Quarryville, PA man, was heading north on State Highway 23 when it struck the pickup, making a left out of the the Irish Cottage Inn parking lot onto the southbound side of the roadway around 6 a.m., Franklin police said in a release.
