Fourth Victim Dies Two Weeks After Horrific Rockland County Crash
A fourth person has died from injuries sustained during a horrific crash of a large van into a tree.
Ramapo Police reported on Sunday, June 28, that a woman, had died, as a result of the crash which took place in Rockland County on June 15, after the van carrying 11 people crashed into a tree.

The woman, whose identity was not released, was a passenger in the van and was from the Village of New Square, Ramapo Police said.

On Tuesday, April 28 at approximately 2:30 p.m., in Rockland County, State Police from the Haverstraw barracks say they observed an Audi S8 traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on the Palisades Parkway in the town of Ramapo.
Troopers verified a speed of 142 miles per hour in a 55-mph zone, state police said.

Storm With Gusty Winds Knocks Out Power To Thousands, Brings Down Trees In Rockland, Orange
Thousands are without power in Rockland and Orange counties as storms rolled through the region, bringing whipping winds of more than 70 mph that toppled tree limbs and downed power lines.
As of 12:30 p.m. on Monday, April 13, Orange and Rockland Utilities was reporting that 5,258 of its 105,399 Orange County customers were without power, while 8,100 of their 118,770 Rockland customers were without power.
Central Hudson was reporting that 6,362 of its 52,477 Orange County customers were also left in the dark.
