Police: Drugged, Drunken Morris County Driver Leaves Scene Of Readington Crash
A Morris County driver was under the influence of both alcohol and narcotics when he left the scene of a Readington Township crash, authorities charged. Brian Chacko of Lake Hiawatha was involved in a crash near the intersection of River Ave and Route 202 in Readington Township around 1:50 a.m. on Friday, July 3, township police said in a release. A Somerset County man who was found slumped over in his vehicle in the parking lot of a Readington Township shopping center was charged with DWI, authorities said. Readington Township Police responded to the Shoppes at the Farm on a report of a suspicious male in the parking lot shortly before 11 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said. Police: Flemington Man Was On Heroin When He Crossed Double Yellow Line In Head-On Crash
A Flemington man was under the influence of heroin when he crashed his pickup truck into another driver in Readington Township, said authorities who charged him. Jordon Weber, 29, was headed northbound on Route 523 at Ivy Court when he crossed over the double-yellow lines and hit a Whitehouse driver heading traveling southbound in a Volkswagen around 1 p.m. April 16, Readington Township Police said on Facebook.
