PD: Woman Arrested After Firing Gunshots Into Allentown Home
A 49-year-old woman was arrested after she allegedly fired shots into an occupied home in Allentown over the weekend, authorities said. Officers were able to catch the shooter, Sydney Small, when they arrived at a home in the 400 Block of West Turner Street around noon on June 26, according to Allentown police. There were no injuries. Officers also recovered a loaded handgun from Small, police said. A Dollar Tree employee has been charged after shooting a customer at the Swatara Township location on Tuesday. A Bethlehem assault suspect armed with a gun told police that he was “not going back to jail” and asked them to shoot him during a standoff as they were attempting to take him into custody following a domestic dispute, reports say. Johnathan Park, 33, was arrested after he attempted to make fireworks on his bed in his apartment in 500 block of Geneva Drive, according to police. A man was arrested after police say he dragged his pregnant girlfriend out of her car, beat her, and drove off -- leaving her on a road in West Whiteland Township last week.
