: One In 5 Americans Believes US Government Is Using
Covid-
19 Vaccine To Microchip Citizens
One in five Americans believes the federal government is using the COVID-19 vaccine to microchip the population, according to a recent poll. The sharpest divisions between pro- and anti-vaxxers in America, to few people's surprise, are political, the Economist/YouGov poll found. Nearly 30% of Republican poll respondents – and only 4% of Democrats -- said they aren’t getting vaccinated. More whites than Black and Hispanic respondents in the Economist/You Gov poll said they reject the vaccine, while more Midwesterners and Southerners came out against vaccination than elsewhere in the country…

19: Parts Of US With Low Vaccination Rates Seeing Spike In Cases Linked To Delta Variant
Red flags are flying and alarm bells are ringing in some heads as parts of the US with the lowest vaccination rates have seen a new surge in COVID-19 cases linked to the more transmissible Delta variant that has been spreading across the country. The Delta variant has become the new cause of concern for health experts in the US, with the strain now reported in all but one state and accounting for more than 20 percent of all COVID-19 cases as it threatens to become the dominant strain, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Among those being hit hardest by the moi…

A majority of New Yorkers plan to get a COVID-19 vaccine when it is made available, though a large portion still does not plan on getting vaccinated, according to a newly released Siena College poll. The poll found that 16 percent of voters have already been vaccinated, while 59 percent plan to receive a shot when they are eligible and an appointment is available. Conversely, 22 percent of New Yorkers have no intention of getting vaccinated. “When it comes to whether or not they plan to get vaccinated, there are wide differences by party and race. While only 17 percent of Democrats and…

Extremely Detailed Map Reveals Who Your Community Voted For In 2020 Presidential Race
An interactive, incredibly detailed map of how neighborhoods voted in the 2020 presidential election has been released. Created by The New York Times, the online map of the U.S. shows which candidate people voted for at the state, county, and precinct levels. The darker the color, the higher the percentage of voters cast ballots in favor of the Republican (red) or Democratic (blue) candidate. Possibly the best feature of the NYT map is that it provides side-by-side voting information for the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections. It is easy to move from one map to the other and see whether a…

If Democrats Wrest Control Of US Senate, NJ's Menendez Lands Key Leadership Post
When the dust settles, and the fate of the U.S. Senate majority is decided, New Jersey's senior senator could land one of the top leadership posts. But it's likely to take days -- or even weeks -- to know the outcome as Senate races in Georgia and North Carolina remained too close to call on Wednesday. Bob Menendez, a U.S. senator since 2006, is widely considered the leading contender to become chairman of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee. But that's only if Democrats retake a majority of seats in the Senate -- which they lost control of six years ago. According to Politico and ot…

'Team Mitch' Versus AOC Sparks Twitter Firestorm
A group of "Team Mitch" boys in Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's home state of Kentucky generated a Twitter firestorm when they posted a photograph with a life-size replica of U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. One teen pretends to kiss her while another depicts a chokehold. Three others offer a thumbs down gesture. They're clad in matching T-shirts from McConnell's re-election campaign. To Ocasio-Cortez, the photo, posted to Instagram and sent viral on Twitter — implied an endorsement of misogyny. “Are you paying for young men to practice groping & choking members of Congress…
