Boiler Room Accident Injures Worker, Clears Lakeland Regional HS
A boiler room accident Thursday morning injured an electrician and cleared Lakeland Regional High School in Wanaque. The 57-year-old worker arced a wire, causing a breaker to blow, around 8:10 a.m, Wanaque Police Capt. Kenneth Farina said. Contrary to other media reports, there wasn’t an explosion, Farina emphasized. The electrician was taken to Chilton Hospital with minor cuts and burns and students and staff returned to the building, Farina said. Lakeland Regional serves students from Ringwood and Wanaque.

: Trespassing Skaters Ruin Ringwood Ice Rink Fun For Everyone
The Ringwood ice rink is closed for the season. Inpatient skaters hopped over the fence while the ice was still forming, puncturing multiple holes into the liner as well, the borough's park and recreation department said on Facebook "Unfortunately, we had some skaters who were not willing to wait until the ice was ready and climbed the fencing around the rink while it was closed. Federal jurors convicted a private "cash jet" pilot from Ringwood of bringing hundreds of kilos of cocaine into New Jersey and New York, then laundering more than $7.5 million in proceeds back to Guyana. Dumont school officials announced there will be an ongoing effort to monitor a mold problem that was first evident in two educational buildings since late August. Col. Richard L. Boyle, 42-Year Serviceman Formerly Of Nanuet, Dies At 89
Among the recent residents of a North Jersey assisted living facility was a former Nanuet resident with a distinguished history that few could match: Col. Richard L. Boyle.
